Becky Garnault fund

Applications are invited from young people aged between 18 and 34 for small grants from the Becky Garnault fund for projects which promote peace, reconciliation and/or environmentalism. The closing date for this year’s applications is 31 October 2022.

Becky was a former Vice-Chair of MAW and a co-founder of MAW Youth.

She was a remarkable young woman who was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder aged 15 and died, aged 27, four years ago. She refused to let her medical problems dominate her life and in fact, as her family said, they seemed to make her value her life more deeply and be more determined to campaign for the issues she believed were important.

Becky’s parents established the Becky Garnault fund in her memory.
